She eventually admitted that she did not have time to properly rehearse, adding that inclement weather and a lack of proper sound checks contributed to her decision to lip-synch. "I did not feel comfortable singing live," said Beyonce.
Nevertheless, the "Crazy In Love" singer confirming that she will "absolutely be singing live" at the upcoming Super Bowl — and she also proved she had the pipes to do it. When she first entered the press conference, Beyonce strutted into the room — reportedly wearing an Olcay Gulsen dress and a pair of Jimmy Choos — and belted out a (very live) version of the national anthem with no musical accompaniment, perhaps to give critics a taste of what they can expect during halftime.
