On January 3, pop singer Kesha announced she was entering rehab. "I'm a crusader for being yourself and loving yourself, but I've found it hard to practice," she told MTV News. "I'll be unavailable for the next 30 days, seeking treatment for my eating disorder … to learn to love myself again, exactly as I am."

On January 13, Trace Adkins allegedly got into a brawl with a Trace Adkins impersonator during a country-themed cruise to Jamaica. The crooner's representative later confirmed that Adkins checked himself into a rehab facility.

Following his highly publicized fourth visit to North Korea (and his even more publicized tirade on CNN), former NBA player Dennis Rodman checked into a New Jersey rehab facility sometime in mid-January to deal with his alcohol addiction.

Amid rumors that he'd been unfaithful to wife Tori Spelling, Dean McDermott entered rehab on January 23. "I am truly sorry for the mistakes I have made and for the pain I've caused my family," he told People. "I take full responsibility for my actions and have voluntarily checked myself into a treatment center to address some health and personal issues."

In early February, a representative for Selena Gomez confirmed that the 21-year-old singer had spent two weeks in Arizona's Dawn at the Meadows rehabilitation facility, starting on January 5, 2014. "Selena voluntarily spent time at Meadows but not for substance abuse," the representative told People magazine.
