The 68-year-old actress was goaded into performing the butt-tastic dance on Thursday in Cambridge, Mass., while receiving her Woman of the Year Award from Harvard University's Hasty Pudding Theatricals society. As part of the silly ceremony, Mirren was instructed to act out clues for a secret word ("twerking," of course) during a charades-like game that had the audience doubled over in laughter.

After a few failed attempts at getting her teammates to guess the secret word, the Oscar-winning actress eventually went for broke — but not before letting a single expletive fly.

"Oh f***," she muttered before twerking for the crowd.

Mirren was also treated to a parade through the streets of Cambridge, in which she was seated in the back of a convertible alongside Hasty Pudding members in drag (photos below).

Next week, the society plans to honor Neil Patrick Harris with the 2014 Hasty Pudding Man of the Year Award. And judging by his frequent song-and-dance routines at the Tony Awards, not a single person will be surprised if he twerks.
