The Date Nighter: 'Bullet to the Head' Movie Review

Sylvester Stallone proves he's an ‘80s action star who can still pull it off (sorry, Schwarzenegger).

And although “Bullet to the Head” isn’t exactly his best effort, at least Sly’s still got it.

But this movie is not that good. Let’s just get that out of the way.

The story revolves around long-time hit man James Bonomo (Stallone), who teams up with a Washington D.C. cop (Sung Kang) to exact revenge on a New Orleans crime kingpin after both their respective partners end up dead. I know it’s a very brief summary, but I’m really not leaving much out in terms of plot, and if you’ve watched the trailer, you basically get the idea.

Stallone's portrayal of a hard-nosed hit man with a (sometimes) soft heart adds a bit of flare to an otherwise dull cast.

The Date Nighter Says:
Stay away. “Bullet to the Head” isn't worth it.
