Hopefully the United States will end up with a lot of these at the conclusion of the games, because this Gold Medal burger captures perfectly what it means to root for America!
The cheeseburger was thought to be invented by a man named Lionel Sternberg in California when he experimentally dropped a slice of cheese onto a hamburger patty when he was only 16. This Olympic burger has come a long way since its distant relative was first invented, and this Gold Medal recipe has a burger topped with barbeque sauce, crispy onions, and of course, a slice of American cheese.
Cook this one up during the games and watch the medals come flying home!
